WALT:skim read to locate specific information

hey guys!

welcome back to my blog,this week i am reading night is a blanket by Barbara Hill!The story is like a myth and the book tells us about how the dark night is a blanket and the stars are just the sun peeping through the holes of the blanket,i think that is a very creative idea for a book!so my create task is this story map and the story map includes Main characters,setting,supporting characters,problem and solution!what i added for main characters is young girl and grandpa cause the young girl was part of what the story grandpa was saying,for the setting i added mountain,night sky and the outside cause i had nothing else to add,And what i added for supporting characters is the children cause they asked what night is,and what i added for problem is that nobody knows who takes the night blanket away in the morning!and finally solution,i added fly up to space and watch until morningsmart right?

so that is what i added for this create task and now its time for my next create task!(the 1st create task)

so this is now my 2nd create task,i had to do this setting planning sheet and it included see,feel,touch smell and hear!on the 2nd row it said place,time mood and weather and for see i said the night sky and the stars,for feel i put in grass tickling them,tired happy and curious,for smell i added air and grassand for taste i added saliva,food water/drink and hear i added crickets talking and wind blowing now for the 2nd row for place i added a hill and outside,and the time is night timefor mood is curious and talkative and weather is like i dont know cause what weather is night time?not raining?and that  is what i did for create task 2,i know this is a short paragraph but when u see my work u will get it!and sorry for not putting much information!

anyways next is my 3rd create task and i did a comic strip,we basically had to make our own comic strip and i had no scenes so i just made the stars so there is 5 thingies like where we put our comic strip and ii kinda recreated the book itself but like mine doesn’t have enough information so yeah..so this is like how my whole entire comic i said “grandpa why is night a blanket then the grandpa replied well a long time ago there was a young girl who wanted to touch a piece of a blanket and then there was this big bird who took her and the bird flew and flew until all the birds feathers worn out and eventually the young girl did but then she ripped the blanket and that is  how we got our moon,cause since she torn the blanket the sun is now peeping through the blanket

hi guys so this is my create task for PB4L,we had to do this like this thing where u had  to make a brainstorm of what makes a good friend and I said my opinionsso what I added is basically” arguing who’s fine shyt is better and brainrot and more!” like they are basically another version of me ( Alisha A and Scarlett T) and I had my best friends opinion cause like why not and of course we are a trio and normally people say “trios don’t work” but then we literally existslike we actually work togetherprobably trios dont work cause they treat each other badly but us nah that will never happen anyways here is my brainstorm

hi guys so this is my blog!so this week and next week we actually have swimming so we have to do this swimming create task just like last year but I was a year 4 beginner so I didn’t know how to blog or I didn’t have one,so again I did prototect and scored all of them in 25 seconds!well yeah it is pretty easy like the questions were like 4-1=? or half of 8 is? so yeah that’s why I did it all in 25 seconds!we had to do it in level 1 and I don’t know why but I guess..that is probably why that is so easy cause we did it in level 1 right?anyways pressed on the link where it gives me my certificate because I obviously need to show u guys!!!so that is how easy it is obviously but I had an malfunction at the start so I couldn’t do it any faster..like I didn’t even know that I started because like I was helping my best friends( cause one of them don’t know what 1+1 is ) so  I actually did level 2 cause we had to make it our way until it became to difficult, so here is level 2 and level 2 I got kinda confused cause what is roundest to nearest so I got confused but I figured it out after like 5 seconds so yeah and I also took long cause my best friends were arguing who’s fine shyt is better and  then I ad to step in and say my fine shyt is better (Lou Goossens ) anyways I got like 95% cause I got 1 wrongthen I obviously had to press on certificate cause obviously I want to show u guys at the end!bye guys!

hey guys welcome back to my favorite blog of the week aka reading!!so my first create task is go onto adobe express just like how I made that doll (I haven’t published it I think ) but yeah!so I made a background with a cat since I couldn’t find the butterfly heh..but yeah I forgot we are learning about butterflies!so i recorded with the background and I only had to read 2 pages cause  adobe express only lets us record for 2 minutes so yeah!but I ended up reading 3 pages..ANYWAYS..it was kinda hard cause I was recording outside and there was also other people there and it was chaotic outside!I ended up with like 10 tries until I finally got a perfect one and I was so glad but then reading ended so I couldn’t even blogbut now I’m blogging so (raise your ) YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYA

I think I sound cringe but u guys can decide thank you!also please comment non silly stuff ( even tho I do that but now I changed..I think) so yeah!so time to go to the next create task!I hope I am still alive on my next one!

ARGHHHH IT WAS SO HARD BUT AT THAT TIME I SOUNDED SO CALManyways,I picked this create task that seemed easy to do but it wasn’t,I had this brilliant idea but then my friend went like “Kylie u cant do that cause that’s not what a butterfly does” then I spent like 5 minutes thinking about another one and then yeah..in case your wondering what my brilliant idea was it was a butterfly going to eat food from Disneyland and go on the rides but I forgot butterflies fly and then that’s basically a roller coaster for them so yeah..anyways lets talk about the background,so I put a blue background with 2 clouds and it looked so realisticand the butterfly looked real too!and here was what I wrote..well almost what I wrote..anyways…dear diary,today was amazing I flew to mexico and I was with my friends and we made this amazing performance ( something like that ) there was even people watching and they were using a thing but it flashed us and I felt so well known and amazing..yeah something like that and there is more I think but yeah!

….so uhm hi this is my 3rd create task aka my last create task!!!!! I’m literally so excited/happy anyways so we had to make our character out of google drawing and basically google drawing is this drive and u can put shapes to make your character and my character is a butterflyI dunno that emoji kinda looks like a moth anyways so the shapes I used was a heart shape ( for the wings ) and I used 6 of them and then a circle ( for the head ) then I used 3 of those then I used like a pointy thick stick I dunno what its called  but yeah and I used 3 of those and boom that’s how I made my butterflyso unique so elegant

hey guys so this is my first reading blog of 2025!! so this year im learning about monkeys again!this is like a repost blog from last year and i had a lot of words on that blog so lets try to get more words this time!so i recorded myself reading the monkey article book thing and here are some new things i learnt from that book even tho i read about it last year,so did u know that humans are also primates,i had some hard time pronouncing that but thankfully it told me how to pronounce it( PRY-MATES ) so yeah im so thankful for that and same as orangutans,gorilla,chimpanzees and more!did u also know that monkeys eat up to 200 types of food in the world!? some are nuts and they use they’re own tools like rocks and tree branches? how do they defend  themselves from tree branches u may ask? well when they are getting attacked from a snake they climb up to a tree branch and they use the tree branch as a club,and monkeys have a lot of different habitats such as mountains,grasslands,forests,jungles and even city or towns!i still cannot believe they live in cities cause i dont know how people deal with that!

so this is what i did i know i may have added some stuff but like this is my 199th try and this was the actual one that wasn’t that chaotic plus i missed my reading group just to record this so hope u like the videoby the way dont mind why is there a monkey reading about monkeys that just to make my friend happy heh by the way if u comment on my blog please dont comment anything stupid,if u dont im so happy and thank u so much

haii so i finished my second create task which is use a dictionary to find what the word means and we have to find the words in the book we are reading aka monkeys so yeah,it was kinda boring but im so glad i finished it!so we had to grab words from the book we were reading and the words i picked were capuchin,primates,monkey,arboreal,canopy macaques,proboscis.troops and stumps and habitat,i know some words are really easy to know but i couldnt find anymore words to put on my list so i just picked some random easy ones!

the definition is capuchin-a black or brown monkey from south and central america,primates-a mammal with faces hands and legs,monkey-an animal known for swinging on branches,arboreal-living often or found around trees,canopy-a shelter that hangs over things,macaques-a monkey from Asia that has a short tail or no tail,proboscis-animals that have flexible snouts like a elephant,troops-a group of monkeys,stump-wild land fires,habitat-where the animal lives,so that is all the words and definition of the words hope it helps! also again if ur gonna comment about this part of my blog please dont comment anything stupid just comment these 3 things postitive,questions,thoughtful, and helpful those are some things u can comment to try and help upgrade my blog descriptions thank u!i forgot to add the sentences so u can just look if u want!

HEYY GUYYSS, so we have this task where we have to do reading,writing, and maths and currently im blogging about maths and we can also go like if the task is too hard we can skip that one and we can come back to that task but i never really done it so yeah,we had to go to this link called prototect and we had some like maths stuff on,for example what is the half of 2 and then we wright the answer,it was pretty easy and and i got all of them correct!!!!!!!!i was so happy even though it was easy i felt like a CHAMPION,after that i got a certificate ( i totally did not press that certificate button ) so yay! here is the thing i dont know what to call itheh dont mind the name please but as u can see i got all of them correct in 42 secondsim so proud of myself and i both got 5/5 so yeah lets just say im very smart, ( as again dont mind the name ) and lets finally show u the certificate that im so happy about like i just wanna thank my mom,my dad and everyoneagain please dont mind the name ( i didnt know we had to blog this so yeah..)

next is this finishing task where i get my family food and we have a budget of 200$ and guess what!me and my family has mcdonalds and ice cream for dinner!!( of course ice cream is dessert ) i spent 30$ on this whole meal so yeah!i think this was pretty fun like im still so glad i got the certificate!

hey guys so this is my blog and im so excited to share my winter sports choices with u guys and if u dont know what that is its basically what all the year 5 and 6’s do every year cause u get to choose a sport from slides and i think there is like 9 different sports to do and we get 3 choices and my 1st choice is volleyball and why? because ive always wanted to play it since forever and now im finally doing it!!and my second choice is netball and netball is like easy like its basically basketball but u cant move and u just have to pass so yeah and i also like doing easy sports!and my 3rd choice is hockey and ive always wanted to play it too! like i wanted to play it but i never got the chance so im really excited to learn hockey this year,and after all that practice  i think u go to a tournament and u can win or lose and i hope my team wins!

hey guys so this is my inquiry blog,so we had to do this Wigram community thing where tree means park,apple means supermarket,book means school,coffee means cafe and bus logo means bus stop,first it was very easy so i thought i had to go to lesson 2 but turns out i was on the wrong slide so yeah,i haven’t deleted the words yet but i will soon,it was very easy to do and i had no difficulty doing it cause it was so easy to do!

hello bloggers!i am doing my 7th blog of the term! like reading blog anyways we had to like do what we can do to protect ourselves from bears and what we can do for the bears to like not become extinct cause we love bears and we dont want any extinct animals in 2024 or in 2025

anyways that was like the create task,my slides are like 6 slides long and a lot of information like what to pack if u know you’re gonna encounter a bear or you’re hiking through a forest and know a bear will come and attack u the things that i put in are helpful especially if u unexpectedly encountered a bear u know what to do if u read my slides since its just information,and i also did how we can help bears not become extinct cause its the worst when we loose an animal that has been with us for a while or a long time its like they are part of history and the bears ancestors will get angry at them i they become extinct

still we will help them anyways what to pack is of course some bear spray,some meat and u know how much if u go to slide 4 and some traps cause what if u have anxiety and dont know what do to and while you’re laying the traps down make sure u do it slowly and like make them like attack u so they get into the trap and how u can protect yourself by having no like bear encounter items is just lay flat in Ur stomach and hold Ur hands together and put it on Ur neck like clasped and then u put you’re legs wide open and that will make it harder for the bear to attack and i know the cover of the presentation looks pretty cool (i only added a background,a bear and the text)

anyways for create task 2 i created like a zoo cage for the bear and its pretty basic i added some rocks for the bear to climb and i also added a hole so the visitors can feed the bears and if ur scared u just like throw it and the bear will still it and u can like train them too u can do anything since the plastic glass is like covering the bears so they like attack us really and also a drinking tube where that little like tube with the drinking bowl is and if the zoo keepers see it empty they will refill it cause usually if the drinking bowl is done and the bear is still like drinking the tube but not the tube like drinking from the tube but no more water then they will immediately refill it since like they are thirsty and if they dont like get theyre drink they will cause a tantrum which means the bear can break out of its cage…

but hopefully not cause like thats pretty dangerous and the bear food cost 20$ and if you are vip then its for free since u literally paid like 200$ just for vip in dress to impress wait no like the zoo obviously so basically u get it for FREEEEEEE now u can free the bear out of its cage but u gotta be gentle with it (ONLY FOR VIP PEOPLE) and bears are pretty dangerous so ur lucky u even get that well if u want to u can cause if u are scared then DONT DO ITTTT the staff will ask u for it and say no if u dont want to and say yes if u do want to and out of task but MERRY CHRISTMASSSSS and thats the end of create task 2 time for create task 3!!!

anyways create task 3 done and i had to do a summary of my animal presentation!! and i had to pick 3 facts by the way and i picked it from slide but like slide 3 and 4 are together and i picked 5 and 6 too and i did like a short summary since i didnt have time but thats fine cause summarys are short term for like whatever your doing so yeah

my summary is like this and i only did that cause i dont know what else to write summary,

so what u need to pack to protect yourself from bears are 3 bear sprays and i think 20-30 red meat and 15-16 traps for the bear to like be stuck on and u can escape or just give it red meat and then u can escape,now how u can protect yourself from the bear with no products and u just encounter the bear unexpectedly u just lay flat on your stomach and clasp ur fingers together while holding ur neck and just widen your legs and that while make it harder for the bear to attack,and not all bears are bad some just live their life and thats okay!and u need to stop like not all of them are predators and they just want to live their life experience theyre life as bears that all they want not to get killed cause ur ‘bad’ like what if u live a life as a bear and u get mistreated as ‘bad’ like just leave them alone unless they are really trying to attack u  just stop acting like them cause if u do that then ur really the bear here

hello bloggers welcome back to my blog and this week i am doing giraffes because my teacher said we can choose any animal under her name and i chose giraffes cause they sound interesting you know?

anyways so on create task 1 i heard that giraffes are in danger which means they have a chance on getting extinct and obviously we dont want that cause we love our giraffes and i have some thoughts about how we can get them not extinct and live until people dont listen to us and kill them…so my idea is that we get a huge cage we can make really really tall but it obviously doesn’t have a roof and has plenty of acaia trees for them to eat and for drinks acaia leaves have water of them so we are just doing like a river but if they run out of acaia trees then we can plant more

my next create task is create task 2 which is my day in a life diary entry and how it goes is like uhm it was morning and it was supposed to be a family feast with like uncles and aunties and cousins and the adults are like looking for acaia leaves and put them into a basket and every giraffe gets a basket and of course the adults get more then the kids cause the adult giraffes can eat more since they have a bigger stomach then the kids

meanwhile the giraffe kids are playing tag but like later on after they played tag one of the cousins and brother like wanted to be their uncles so they pretended to be like them by play fighting but meanwhile the girl giraffes just wanted to be like their aunties so they acted helpful just like what the giraffe mothers would do they always help out and they gather food for everyone but this time the guys are helping too

now is create task 3 and create task 3 is making a superhero like what type of superhero my animal would be and what like they would be used to be a superhero and mine is very tall so it can like reach people but it can also walk on air just a little bit cause mostly he would just use his ladder and his long neck to help people or get the bad guys it can also grow or get smaller cause like i feel like that would be super helpful with other people and it they need to sneak up they can just turn small and then when its the perfect moment to catch them they can turn big again and use its long neck to catch it or if they are fast they can make theyre tail longer cause they can also do that
